Yea!

I was discussing the difference between Yeah and Yea with a coworker today and it was always my understanding that “yeah” was a confirmation like “yes” and that “yea” was more of a “yahoo” type exclamation. Unfortunately my main source of verification on this, dictionary.com, shows that both of them are means of saying “yes”. So this leaves me to wonder how DO you spell the “hooray” version of “yeah” or “yea” or “yeh” or however it’s spelled. Guess I’ll have to dig deeper…
